The Pacific Pioneer Fund supports emerging documentary filmmakers - artists who have proven their commitment to the craft of making documentaries in previous work, but have not yet received wide recognition - who live and work in California, Oregon and Washington. By placing an emphasis on the filmmaker rather than the film or its subject matter, the Fund fosters the artist's development while encouraging them to find their own voice.
